What We Believe

Third Baptist West Frankfort is a Christian church centered on the Good News of Jesus Christ. We gladly confess the historic Christian faith and gather under the authority of Scripture.

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the Word of God and the final authority for faith, worship, and life.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, that he lived without sin, died for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the Father, and will return in glory.

Salvation

We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Sinners are forgiven, made new, and brought into God’s family through the life, death, and resurrection of Christ.

The Church

We believe the local church is a gathered family of believers who worship God, proclaim the gospel, practice baptism and the Lord’s Supper, build one another up, and bear witness to Christ in the world.
